Squirrel repellant coatings will work just as well if you choose to use a stainless steel feeder instead of plastic. bird feeder, or a bird feeder made of cedar, cypress, spruce, maple, or hickory. As long as you have these types of wood around your yard, you’ll be able to make sure squirrels stay away from your bird feeders.

Squirrel repellant coatings also work best in other kinds of bird feeders, especially those made of perch and sparrows, or woodpeckers. A woodpecker feeder is just perfect for keeping them off your feeders. Squirrels like a dry and dark woodpeckers, because they will hide under their feathers and wait until it is their time to come out. Squirrel repellant coatings work just as well in a bird feeders made of cedar, oak, or walnut. These types of feeders have a natural rustic appearance that the squirrels find appealing.
